Sometimes we are asked if we have a signature style. But we like to think of it as a signature approach: courageous thinking which incorporates twists, turns and design tricks to create uniquely bold designs.
Whether we are tasked with creating drama or serenity, our palette is one of secret nooks, elemental focal points and bold planting. We love gardens which cocoon, transport, surprise and delight.
Of course, good design is only half the story. However, working with our trusted partners and suppliers, you can be assured of quality finish in both hard and soft landscaping.

Hi, I'm Dan...
After graduating with honours in Fine Art, I spent more than 20 years working in the fields of art, design and communication - gathering a unique portfolio of experience within performance, graphics, interiors, exhibition and film. A definite dabbler!
Simultaneously, I was developing a love of gardens - an interest which began as a small boy when my mum carved out a corner of a sunny border for me to call my own.
In 2020, I decided it was time to combine my strengths and follow my heart. That was the beginning of Beyond The Valley, and I am now working on gardens both in and around London. I am always on the look out for more ambitious and challenging projects; so if you have one, do get in touch.
My formal training so far has been with Capel Manor and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). Both are well-established institutions that I heartily recommend for their gardens, resources and courses.
